"When Mother Nature
saw fit to remove the tail of the Manx, she left, in place of the
tail, more cat." --Mary Stewart

On Raising
Wonderful Manx Kittens
Many people think that great cats just "happen" - and sometimes
they do - certainly breeding (genes) has a lot to do with it.
The rest of the equation to produce a truly wonderful companion is
the time and effort that is needed to give each individual kitten
the experiences and attention he or she needs to become the best possible
cat.

Apocope (Puck)
One-on-one time is essential,
as is the encouragement of any "talents" a kitten might show.
For example, many of my kittens fetch. Careful attention is
given to the selection of "Aunts" as companions to the newly weaned
kittens to provide "adult supervision" for them beyond the time they
spend with their mother (usually the first two months).
It really is a lot like an abbreviated version of raising a child...
I raise each kitten as if it were the only cat I was going to have
as my companion for the next fifteen years or so. Between careful
breeding and dedicated handling, I believe I offer truly exceptional
pets/companions to homes that I feel are as exceptional as my cats.
